A brief history of WG-Racing:
WG-Racing comprises Mike Woodward (the rider, mechanic and author) and Michele Woodward (everything else!)
WG-Racing took its name from Wooburn Green in Buckinghamshire...it was where I lived when this all kicked off!
I started racing at the age of 36 having ridden on the road and having done track days for 10 years.
A few exploratory outings in EMRA 600 Roadstocks in 2001 produced a best of 12th in the wet at Mallory at the last meeting of the year, just enough to keep me going
2002 saw a full on attack at the 600 Roadstocks Championship with final championship position of 5th.
2003 saw yet another season in Roadstocks with a final championship position of 3rd.
After a year off, 2005 saw me campaigning an Aprilia Mille-R in New Era Sound of Thunder. A best result of 3rd at my “home” track of Mallory Park was the highlight of an up and down season. I finished 6th in the championship.
